Were going to be taking a closer look at the standard Marlin Model 1895 SBL. The most identifying feature about this model is the BlackGray laminated hardwood pistol-grip stock and forend, with a stainless steel metal finish. This model also has cut checkering, deluxe recoil pad, and nickel-plated swivel studs. Its is a lever action with a big-loop finger lever for easy cycling. Each 1895 comes standard with a side-ejection port. This model has a stainless steel receiver, barrel, lever, trigger guard plate, magazine tube, and loading gate. The Marlin 1895 SBL also features the manual crossbolt hammer-block safety that has been a Marlin standard since 1984.Like many other great features, the 1895 SBL includes a XS LeverRail with Ghost ring rear sight and front sight post.Shown above is the XS LeverRail with Ghost ring sight, and side ejection port.Pictured above is the XS LeverRail with logowriting.Seen above is the stainless steel barrel, and front sight post. The barrel is an 18.5 stainless steel barrel with deep-cut Ballard-type rifling (6 grooves), and a 1:20 twist rate.
