The Core i3-4170 3.7 GHz Dual-Core Processor from Intel is the fourth generation of the Core i3 product line that is now built using Haswell architecture. This processor features a base frequency of 3.7 GHz and as with many Haswell technologies, comes with features such as Hyper-Threading. This processor also features two cores with four threads in an FCLGA1150 socket and has 3MB of cache memory. Having two cores allows the processor to run multiple programs simultaneously without slowing down the system, while the four threads allow applications to complete tasks sooner by working in parallel.
