Bulit in 1939 and scrapped in 1965. Rescued from Barry scrapyard in 1973 and moved to the Severn Valley Railway. Hinton Manor returned to steam in 1977 where it ran a number of mainline specials during the GWR 150 clelebrations in 1985. Here seen at Bridgnorth around 1987 in its Black BR livery. Shot taken on a Twin Lens Yashica 124G on 120 format Kodak slide film. In retrospect, not the best media to photograph black engines. It took a lot of HDR effort to get a nice digital scan off this slide. At least it was a sunny day and I am on the sunny side of the engine.
